Please leave the Riker Maneuver team your questions and comments. We would love to interact with people. If we get enough questions, we'll have to do a livestream or something.
As fun as this is (& I very much support the concept), the use of "the last frontier" to describe Alaska is a colonialist term that dismisses indigenous cultures. Which of course goes against so many of the core social themes of Star Trek, particularly the Prime Directive of TNG.
The phrase is an easy tie-in to "The Final Frontier" of the show which I feel was used inherently differently where exploration was done specially with respect to ingenious cultures "to improve [&] enrich yourself"(S1E25), not for colonization or oppression; But "the last frontier" shouldn't be part of the project, either in marketing or on the plaque.

Great presentation -- tying it in to Alaska's burgeoning space industry is a smart move. Have you talked to any aerospace contractors about possible funding? Or UAF?
What has been the city's response regarding the stewardship?
